ALNAll schools in Wales are working towards new statutory regulations. Mrs Thea Porter is the lead for our school on this and you will see in our School Improvement Plan (Priority A and the three actions which underpin it) that meeting the ALN needs of our school community is a real focus for us.
It is no exaggeration to say that the richness of our school stems in no small measure, from the impact of our two, wonderful special classes. They are our 'Sunshine' class (or Communication Base) for pupils with a diagnosis of ASD and from our 'Rainbow' class for pupils with moderate learning difficulties. We are so proud of them and the staff and pupils of the whole school should feel rightly proud of how, as a whole school we all work together.
We recently acquired the status of an ASD Aware School, which meant that all of our stakeholders, from our pupils to our governors completed E-learning in this area.
