The school choir brought a touch of Christmas magic and sparkle to the local community tonight as they sang a selection of Christmas songs at the Westward Community Centre before the lights of the community Christmas tree were switched on. There was a great festive atmosphere at the Westward Community Centre as many local people had come to support the Christmas fete with its many festive stalls, attractions and Santa's grotto. Crowds gathered outside to listen to our amazing choir sing around the Christmas tree. The choir sang three songs - 'Tonight', 'Just Another Star' and 'Turn Down the Lights' with Father Christmas and Mrs. Christmas looking on before Rhydian waved a magic wand to light up the tree with sparkling Christmas lights.

Councillor White complimented the choir on their "beautiful singing" and hoped that they would sing at the switching on of the Christmas tree lights every year. Mrs. Davies spoke to the gathered crowds and said how proud she was of the choir. After the grand switching on of the Christmas lights, Miss Hatch conducted the choir in a rousing rendition of 'We Wish You A Merry Christmas' which filled everyone with Christmas spirit and a warm glow. Following the choir's singing, the Christmas Fete continued inside with mulled wine and mince pies. A great time was had by all. Well done to Miss Hatch and the school choir. We are all proud of you.
