![]() This half term in Welsh, our topic has been 'Holidays' - 'Gwyliau'. For our latest 'Learning Log' task, Year 6 were set a challenge - to make a Welsh game which would encourage the players to practise talking in Welsh about their holidays - where they went, When? With whom? For how long? how they travelled and what they did on holiday..... Mr. Evans was thrilled with the class' creative ideas for their games and the time and effort we had put into making them. Some children had made board games with counters, dice, spinners and cards. Others had made card games in the style of ‘Snap!’ In some children's games, players had to match Welsh sentences to English sentences or match pictures to Welsh sentences. There were wordsearches, 'Monopoly-style' games and even Welsh snakes and ladders games! We had all worked really hard at making our Welsh language games. In class today we enjoyed spending time playing each other's 'Gwyliau' games. We were practising our Welsh whilst having fun and that is what it is all about! Bendegedig J11! We will play these Welsh games regularly.
